FELLOWSHIP CLASS

Location: Room 4 – Family Life Center

This class began in the mid 1960’s as the Young Adults Class.  By the 1980’s members were older and were asked to change their name.  At that time they were meeting in the old fellowship hall, so they decided to call themselves the Fellowship Class.

The Scripture choice for this class underscores their love for each other, Philippians 2:2: “Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”  Anyone 50 and above will feel comfortable in this class. Dianne Lewis is a wonderful teacher and uses Wesley Sunday school literature as a classroom guide. The classes are lively for members add their comments and discuss different views of the subject at hand. Most class members have been together for almost 40 years and have become a congenial and fun loving group. This isn’t a “stick in the mud” class for they embrace new ideas and rejoice when new members join the class.

Socially, they enjoy a Christmas gathering; and each year they sponsor a family through the church Christmas Box ministry.
